Management structure

Apleona's operating business is organized into five business units (BUs). Apleona's headquarters are located in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main. The main central functions and competence centers such as Digital Solutions, Green Real Estate and Apleona's energy management are also located there.

Fronja as well as the three COOs Michael Engel (International FM, ICC), Christian Kloevekorn (Infra Services) and Dr. Gert W. Riegel (integrated and technical FM DACH) and the CTO Dr. Pascal Engel (operational efficiency, innovation, green real estate and digitalization) and advised by an extended management board.

Building Technology & Interior Fit-out

The installation units Apleona Wolfferts and Apleona R&M Innenausbau are combined in BU BTI. Both provide fit-out services for medium-sized and large projects throughout Germany via their network of branches, including in Luxembourg in the area of interior fit-out. CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg is responsible for BU BTI.

Apleona remains market leader in Germany

Large, technically oriented FM companies expect growth of 9.0 per cent by 2025. They also expect growth of between 7 and 8 percent per annum in the following years. With domestic revenue of €2.991 billion, Apleona remains the market leader and is expected to surpass €3 billion in revenue in the current financial year.

Apleona wins 10-year contract for DHL Group’s German portfolio

Apleona is expected to provide all technical and infrastructural facility management services for DHL Group properties and sites in Germany from 1 May. In total, the contract covers a Germany-wide portfolio of more than 3,700 buildings and more than 15,000 Packstations (pick-up locations).

Changes at FM DACH

On 1 June 2025, Peter Antic will become Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the FM DACH business unit and Managing Director of Apleona Facility Management GmbH. His successor as Managing Director of Apleona Southeast will be Dr Frank Höning as of 1 April 2025.

Apleona appoints CTO to the executive board

The Apleona Group is expanding its Executive Board to include the position of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) and appointing Dr Pascal Engel to the Executive Board as of 1 April 2025. In the future, all functions and competences relevant for the further digital transformation and professionalisation of the company will be bundled in the division for which he will be responsible.

Change

New COO at FM International

On 1 April 2025, Andreas Neukam will take over as Chief Operating Officer of the FM International business unit. He will succeed James Thoden van Velzen, who will focus on special projects in international business in the future.
