The building sector in Germany is responsible for around 35% of energy consumption and around 30% of CO2 emissions across all sectors. Decarbonizing the building sector therefore plays a critical role in achieving the country's climate goals. Sustainability, ESG, and energy efficiency issues are critical to preserving the value of real estate. This is driven by increasing regulatory requirements, rising energy costs and investor demands. The high level of advisory expertise in ESG solutions and the broad green real estate product portfolio form the basis for supporting the decarbonization of real estate.

From rapid analysis to long-term strategy

As part of the decarbonization process, the focus is on developing and implementing strategies to reduce CO2 emissions. The first step is a rapid analysis that focuses on assessing the building, energy consumption and HVAC technology. Based on this, we provide the client with a proposal for a package of measures that can be implemented in the short term. There are three elements to this approach: First, the building, technology and consumption are analyzed. Second, a cost-benefit analysis is performed, which serves as the basis for effective savings measures. Finally, short- and medium-term solutions are implemented based on this transparency. In addition to the significant energy savings and reduction in CO2 emissions, the customer also benefits from the planning time gained for long-term strategies, which are associated with high investment requirements and are significantly more complex.

Whether it is energy saving, decarbonization or an overall green real estate strategy - the combination of the right measures creates the best effect. To determine this, it is important to understand which options are considered appropriate and feasible in the current situation. In addition, innovative data and AI-based services are offered, including Enerlutec, Recogizer and Eastway. In addition, property management, building technology and interior design are integrated to create a comprehensive package for the decarbonization of buildings.

Our Green Real Estate solutions

Our solutions cover the entire value chain - from creating transparency about energy data (e.g. via our Enerlutec energy management system) to developing long-term decarbonization strategies and specific optimization solutions, e.g. for automatic/AI-based energy optimization or energy bill control. The use of innovative digital solutions, such as the Recogizer system, enables intelligent and predictive control of building technology.
