Compliance as the foundation for trust

Apleona's compliance policy is based on a Code of Conduct and related Group policies and guidelines. In support of this policy, the Company has implemented a Compliance Management System (CMS), which is designed to ensure that the Group, its companies, executive bodies, board members and employees act in a compliant and ethically correct manner and that violations of the company's rules and ethical standards are avoided.

To support this policy, the Company has established a Compliance Management System (CMS) to ensure that the Group, its subsidiaries, executive bodies, board members and employees act in a lawful and ethically correct manner and avoid violations of the Company's rules and ethical standards.

The CMS is continuously developed and adapted to changing business and regulatory conditions and risks. The existing Apleona CMS has been certified by the independent Institut für Corporate Governance in der deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft e.V. (Institute for Corporate Governance in the German Real Estate Industry) in accordance with the internationally recognized standard IDW PS 980 (Principles of Proper Auditing of Compliance Management Systems of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany).

German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains

The German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (LkSG) obliges companies to ensure compliance with high standards of human rights and environmental protection throughout the entire supply chain. Apleona joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative in 2017 and supports its ten universal goals, including respect for human rights. The UNGC is the world's largest and most important initiative for responsible business.

Compliance Complaint Procedure

In order to give employees of the Apleona Group and the employees of our suppliers the opportunity to report human rights violations, we have set up a central complaints procedure. In addition to German and English, the compliance whistleblower system (APLEONA Compliance Communications) is also available in Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, Finnish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Croatian, Slovakian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
